CraftBlog: Update 002, 3 Crochet Zipper Pouches

Front Page of CraftBlog UpdatePost 002 by ChameleonStar

Hi, craft lovers!

This is my 2nd CraftBlog's update post.

I made another three items. Just as I wanted during the previous week, I crocheted a zipper pouch from a milky woolen yarn, a small darker and very simple mini-pouch, and a dark red and bigger in size basket-like bag.

The milky pouch also shares a 5-petal plain flower with colored center for a decoration, which I also did for the red-and-white pouch previous week. Only this time I used orange beads to decorate the center of the flowers, which played out completely new effect on the item.

I called this design Drew; maybe because this particular set of colors really pulls me in and inspire to make more designs like this one.

Milda Crochet Zipper Pouch/Clutch Bag

My second mini-pouch was very quick to do. Basically I used leftovers from two balls of old yarn I had for a while. Then I just made flowers from ribbons and sewed them onto the front part of the body. I used warm pastel ribbon colors to make item more softer for an eye.

This mini zipper pouch is called Milda.

Imelda Crochet Zipper Pouch

The biggest project was made in dark red color and I started it spontaneously just to see where it would lead. I used a bit of milky yarn to add more contrast and already put a zipper in. I think I'll add some crochet light flowers on the top of the bag to make it more sophisticated.

Imelda is the name of this newly made red zipper pouch.

New crochet projects

For my next projects I already started with greenish melange zipper pouch, and additionally to that I want to make 3 more lime pouches' bodies and something with alpine stitch.

Right now I'm just focused on making at least 20 of my designs, so that later on I could solely concentrate on preparing PDFs with patterns. I plan to release couple on my patterns on the same day and then release one pattern in 5-7 days until I'll have to go back to creating more designs.

This is it for now, folks!
Keep your mind sharp and have peaceful thoughts everyone!
Have a fantastic bag day!

Sizes and Types of Crochet Hooks

If you’re just learning how to crochet, it's obvious you'd want to know about sizes and types of crochet hooks. Until you've worked with crochet hooks for a while, you won’t know which you prefer better, that is why you should experiment and buy at least a couple of them. Also, below you can find Crochet Hook Conversion Chart to help you out when you don't know which yarn to use with which hook size. A crochet hook has a slender handle with a hook at one (or sometimes both) ends. It is used to pull thread or yarn through loops to create crochet stitches. Materials, sizes and handles can be very different. Each kind has its own benefits and disadvantages; it all depends on the comfort, price and the ease of use. A crochet hook can also be used to pick up dropped knitting stitches, thread beads onto string or create hairpin lace. The crochet needles vary from small to larger sizes; each needle works with different weights of yarn. And just like with a knitting ...

CraftBlog: Update 005, Upgrades of 3 Previous Designs

Hi, craft lovers! This is my 5th update post on the studio. This time I wanted to share the insides of finishing work of Belladonna, Gloria and Petra. Instead of working on new projects, I've decided to finish my first three crochet zipper pouches/clutch bags designs. So this is the sneak peek at the more polished versions of Belladonna, Gloria and Petra, however, I do plan to make some adjustments in the future. I've blogged about these 3 projects before in my Update #001 post, so if you want to check it out the link to the post is here. Belladonna Crochet Zipper Pouch/Clutch Bag With Belladonna I did some embroidery work and added the lining. Three new additional colors popped up nicely and played well on the lime pouch body. I really enjoy the final view of Belladonna, it has a very fresh, sparkling, somewhat spring flavor to it. CraftBlog: Update 009, 3 New Crochet Zipper Pouches

Hi, craft lovers! This is my 9th update post on the studio. All of the projects are doing great and there's been a lot of work done. I finished decorating some of my previous designs, started a couple new ones and did a lot of lining work for my previous projects.  Today I want to share 3 new crochet projects in their finished look. Their names are Ariete, Luna and LĂ©onie. All of them have quite a sweet and soft touch, and they were all inspired by warm spring thematics. Ariete Crochet Zipper Pouch/Clutch Bag The design was inspired by the blooming of spring flowers and I wanted to add a bit of cool freshness to the whole picture. The clutch design was made in hope to bring some white floral elegance into everyday life. The body of the clutch is quite simple and most of the work was focused on decoration. I wanted to try out some 2-side colors ideas for some time now and am very happy about it coming alive like that~ I chose royal blue color for one side and the borders and crepe ...
